Chad Dennis enters his 23rd season as a head wrestling coach and 21st at Harrison High School in Ohio. At Harrison he has coached 45 state qualifiers, 16 state placers, one state champ, one state runner-up, 16 league championship teams, six sectional championship teams, one district championship team, and a fifth place at Ohio’s state dual tournament. His combined dual meet record is 269-88-1.
Coach Dennis was head coach of the Ohio Cadet Greco-Roman National Team from 1992-2001. He is also a USA Wrestling Bronze level certified coach. He has served as a clinician in the Cincinnati Freestyle Club and is the founder of the Cornhusker Wrestling Club. Coach Dennis was recognized as Cincinnati Enquirer 2009 Coach of the Year.
He attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga on a wrestling scholarship where he was a four-year starter, three-year team captain, two-time NCAA qualifier, two-time conference champ. His four-year record at UTC was an astounding 100-40. He became an All-American at the 1994 University Nationals in Greco-Roman.
Coach Dennis is a 1991 graduate of Fairfield High School in Ohio where he was a two-time state placer (fifth and second), compiling a record of 89-20-1. Email Chad »
